Hey there Tom...  Watching you for the past 7 years has been crazy.  What really makes you a star is that after every crazy battle that you have gone through, you always rise about it and find some way to use it to your advantage.  Hope the rest of this year brings you the experience and HEALTH that you need so that you can go climb those French mountains next July.  Like fine wine, you only get better with age (and knowledge).  Kill the USA like only you know how to!!  Chris and I will be thinking of you here in Spokane!

Dear Tom,

While I was sad to see things did not go as you would have liked in preparation for the Tour, I continue to be increasingly inspired by your attitude and determination.  It is one thing to have a good attitude while things are going well, but when one can maintain that attitude through many storms, that says a great deal about your character.

Looking forward to following you in the states.  Have a great weekend.

Thank you for being so open with your progress and plans.  I can only imagine how hard it must have been to be handed this decision.  But you now have some time to groom what you've got and show it off to your team.

Hi Tom.
Sorry to hear about your herniated Disc (L4).
Several years ago I had major back issues which turned out to be the same thing. After much time spent on all sorts of therapies, I eventually had to have an operation (Lamenectomy). This fixed the pain straight away and in combination with core strength excercises, turned my life around for the better.
I hope you don't need an operation though, and wish you a speedy recovery.
Cheers

Hey TD,

I want you to make this your hey day year and I will be on location thru out the Amgen Tour to witness your afterburnin asaults on the 10+% grade inclines! You can count on me for Skyhawk roadside support and yours would be a fitting overall TD victory at the Rose Bowl. It's your turn TD and I think your Slipstream Team will support your goals of victory this year.  Careful on the hi-speed descents and please give it your BEST SHOT.

I was warned at last year's tour they will restrain my patriotic antics with taser jolts and straight jacket in lieu of hand cuffs. Catch me if you can - I'm no burrito mannnnn!

PS - Grow your mojo on Mt. Lemmon, Tuscon - and beware of the 29 pies at the summit cafe! I know of no better year round territory to produce your potential talent. Mt. Lemmon is the Champion's Mecca.

Hey Tom,

Haven't seen you in a while but always keep track of what's up. Good old days of hanging with you, Salem and others at local MTB races was awesome.

Got to say "hi" to your folks at Mt Snow last time there, great to see them as well. I ran into Lance at Sloan Kettering, NYC on wednesday while there for my radiation therapy. Reading Velo news on the train ride home and had to leave a note.

You're going to have a great season!!!

Happy Blizzard to ya! Doubt you're here training in this stuff. Had the pleasure of riding with you, Ned, Todd, and a couple others last summer during a Tuesday night worlds ride. Got dropped at the turn to WildCat from Hesperus, but that's ok. Good luck to you this year with the new team. Don't eat too many burritos.

Hi Tom

Looking forward to watching Team Slipstream this year. Hopefully, the team will get the invite for TDf but if not there are many other exciting races to watch you guys.

I entered the Mt Washington HillClimb race last summer. Unfortunately it got cancelled but I will try again this year. Can I borrow your legs!!

The guestbook is back up! It was down for a couple weeks between 12.20.07 and 1.9.08. The ISP had some increased security messures put in place and we were unaware of them at the time. This caused us not to receive any submissions, so if you submitted something during the outage, please resubmit now!

Thanks!
